A poet and charismatic leader of women, Eliza Roxcy Snow was one of the most celebrated Latter-day Saints of the nineteenth century. She wrote three books, dozens of articles, and some five hundred poems, including the much-loved hymn texts “O My Father” and “How Great the Wisdom and the Love.”She exercised the gifts of tongues and healing, ministered to women through temple ordinances, and traveled unceasingly to preach to her sisters regarding their divinity, capability, and responsibility.
